- Open the job card from Jobs or the customer’s Jobs tab.
- Select Upload beside Email and SMS.
- Choose a file. You can also give it a label and category.
- Choose All Job users or Restricted for its access, then complete the upload.
- Open the job’s Uploads tab to review the file. It is also saved on the linked customer record.
The Uploads tab includes required uploads, files added from the mobile job card, and files linked from the customer record.
Required uploads
If your job settings define required uploads, they appear on the job card.
- Find the required document and click its upload button.
- Select the file and wait for the upload to complete.
- Open Uploads to review the file. Photo previews can be opened at a larger size.
After the upload completes, Uploads becomes visible and the completed document is removed from the required-upload list.
Link a file already on the customer record
- Select Import.
- Find the upload in the customer’s list.
- Choose All Job users or Restricted for that file, then select the plus icon. An upload already added to this job shows a green tick.
- Select the green tick when you want to remove the upload from the job. The file remains on the customer record.
Who can see job uploads
All Job users is the default for new uploads. It includes office staff, contractors with an active task on the job, and the current Job Manager. Choose Restricted before uploading or importing a file when it should appear only to office staff and the current Job Manager in Neptune.
Change file access
To change access later:
- Open the upload’s actions menu in the job’s Uploads tab.
- Select Edit.
- Choose All Job users or Restricted from Access, then save.
Other contractors assigned to the job cannot see a restricted upload. A contractor who is the Job Manager can open the job and see restricted uploads even without a task. You can return the upload to All Job users from the same edit window.
Restricted uploads stay attached to their current job. Remove one from that job before assigning it to another job.
