Save your organisation’s Google review link once, then insert it into emails and SMS messages from Neptune’s token menus. When a message is sent, Neptune replaces the token with the saved link.
Before you start
- Copy the direct review link from your Google Business Profile.
- Make sure the link starts with
https://. - You need access to your organisation settings to save or change the link.
Add your Google review link
- Open Admin from the Side Nav.
- Choose Organisation.
- On the General tab, find Google reviews.
- Paste the direct link into Google review URL.
- Select Save review URL.
You can replace the link at any time. Clear the field and save when you no longer want the link available.
Add the link to an email
In an email or email template, place the cursor where the link should appear. Open the token menu and choose Google review URL.
You can add the token to ordinary text or use it as a button link in an email template. Preview the email before sending it to confirm the link appears where you expect.
Add the link to an SMS
In a customer or lead’s SMS tab, select Insert token, then choose Google review URL. The same option is available in SMS templates and SMS sequence steps.
Keep the surrounding message short and explain why you are asking for a review. Review the completed SMS before sending it.
Use the link in a sequence
The Google review URL token works in email templates and SMS steps used by sequences. Neptune uses the organisation’s saved link when each step runs.
Configure the link before enrolling records. If the link is missing, Neptune does not send a message that requires it and records an error for the sequence step.
Troubleshooting
Why can’t I save the link?
Check that you copied the complete link and that it starts with https://.
Why does Neptune say the Google review URL is not configured?
Open Admin -> Organisation -> General, add the link under Google reviews, and save it. If the link was removed, add it again or remove the Google review URL token from the message or template.
What happens when I update the saved link?
Future emails, SMS messages, and sequence steps use the new link. Messages that have already been sent do not change.
