Reckon Accounts Hosted Integration

Connect Neptune to a Reckon Accounts Hosted company file for accounting lookups.

On this page

The Reckon Accounts Hosted integration connects Neptune to one company file. Neptune uses the connection for accounting lookups.

This integration does not currently show the customer auto-sync or invoice sync settings available for Xero and MYOB. The current job screens also do not provide a general Send to Reckon Accounts Hosted handoff. Contact Neptune support to confirm which connected workflows are available for your organisation.

The Reckon Accounts Hosted tile must be available under Admin → Integrations. You need a Reckon Accounts Hosted sign-in that can access the intended company file, plus a dedicated username and password inside that company file. Only one accounting provider can be connected to Neptune at a time.

Connect Reckon Accounts Hosted

  1. Open Admin → Integrations and select Reckon Accounts Hosted.
  2. Click Connect Reckon Accounts Hosted.
  3. Sign in to Reckon Accounts Hosted and approve access.
  4. When Neptune shows Choose company file, select the file from Company file.
  5. Enter the Company-file username and Company-file password.
  6. Click Connect company file.

The company-file credentials are separate from the Reckon Accounts Hosted sign-in credentials. Use the username and password set up inside the selected company file.

Neptune shows Reckon Accounts Hosted company file connected, changes the status to Connected, and shows the company-file name when available.

Refresh the company-file list

Click Refresh files if the required file is not initially listed. If Neptune reports that no company files were returned, open or restore the company file in Reckon Accounts Hosted and refresh again.

Disconnect

Open Admin → Integrations → Reckon Accounts Hosted and click Disconnect. You can also disconnect while the integration is waiting for company-file selection. New lookups that depend on the connection stop until it is reconnected.

Troubleshooting

  • Company files could not be loaded: Read the displayed error, confirm the Reckon session and permissions, then click Refresh files.
  • No company files were returned: Open or restore the intended file in Reckon Accounts Hosted, then refresh.
  • Company-file login fails: Use the credentials created inside that company file, not the Reckon Accounts Hosted sign-in password.
  • Connect button is disabled: Disconnect the other accounting provider named in the notice.
  • Expected Reckon action is missing from a job: The current Job Work Orders screen does not provide a handoff to Reckon. Contact Neptune support to confirm your organisation’s available workflows.
  • The integration tile is missing: Contact Neptune support to confirm availability for your organisation.
